I really thought she was someone incredibly special and respected her for not toeing the line. We need more people like her. She was a great musician too. So when the news of her death came, it was a horrible shock to my family and I.

And Sinead knew what a woman was. She knew that sex-based oppression matters. She knew that our lived experiences as women cannot be replicated, or impersonated.

Indeed - a powerful voice on sex based oppression and a supporter of Transgender Equality Network Ireland - a great example of how fighting for the marginalised doesn’t mean fighting against other marginalised groups but being an ally

I think we both know that's a red herring fallacy, but well done, on scoring a point. It makes such a difference, to women everywhere, that you decide which of us is an 'ally'.

I made the error of logging in from my laptop rather than pc, and that's my username. You responded immediately with a comment about a transgender charity. I was speaking about the fact that women's lived experience is unique to our sex. I'd say the conflation is yours, entirely.

I am not sure if you are Lynne or Chartist now or even someone else - anyway if you are also Lynne you will have noticed that I did ask if you could explain what your original point was. Rather than going off on a tangent I was quite specific in my reply - which is rare

I can only say mea culpa for not realising the system logged me in differently. My initial mistake has been to expect discussion, rather than muddled responses and a less than civil tone. That's easily remedied.
